Pasture Suppertime Ruffled Apron
Pasture suppertime! Green background with groups of cows, accented on the pockets with cow print as well as the back black and white polka dot has a cow print pocket! The ruffles even say “Moo!”.
This fantastic fabric for the ruffle found me! I was trying to come up with what pattern to do for the ruffle when this fabric literally found me! A perfect pairing!!
✔This aprons has ties long enough to tie front and in back as well
✔ All Aprons have adjustable neck
✔ All Aprons are fully reversible
✔ This apron is 100% cotton
I worked at a bakery for 8 years and I am a messy baker so I’ve worn a lot of aprons in my years! This pattern is a combination of my favorite parts of many of them.
I always prefer an adjustable neck line (instead of having to run the string through the neck string or knotting the neck ). Having the adjustable neck allows me to adjust the neckline upward so I get less on my shirt.
I also have always preferred the flexibility of a cotton twill tie (rather than a sewn tie which I find bulky) as well as I have always preferred to tie it in front of me (makes it less baggy in the front therefore MAYBE I will be able to keep it out of food and cleaner 🤣) so…the ties are around 42” long to allow for that. The ONLY negative to the long twill ties is the knot in washing machine BUT I have found the simple solution to be tying them in a loose bow before I wash it.
I love the little ruffled nod to femininity with out being too over the top and the coordinating fabric on the pockets and neck for a pop of detail and interest.
They are fully reversible so you can use both sides if need be (honestly, when I worked at the bakery I often used my apron while decorating then folded the top down and flipped it so it looked cleaner-I told you I was a messy baker😁!)
